To someone who has never been in a homeopathic clinic, the questions we ask and the things we take an interest in may seem a little strange.

The owner tells us what is wrong with the animal and little by little goes into beeper detail, describing what the animal does, how it reacts, its likes and dislikes, its food preferences and aversions, the possible trigger of the illness, seasonal aggravations, changes with the temperature, fears, etc. In short, all the characteristics which define the character of the animal are very useful in prescribing a remedy.

What most interests us are the specific characteristics that distinguish this particular animal from all others – the more curious, odd and peculiar these characteristics are, the better.

Homeopathy treats on an individual basis and everything that is unique and specific to this animal interests us.

In livestock farming the group is treated as a whole, with its own characteristics. Sometimes the herd can be divided into two or three groups with different symptoms or characteristics and then these groups are treated separately.
